Story
Wholly SmokesWe thought about naming this product the D.I.Y.-B.Y.O.B.S., but our test group was spending too much time bumbling over the acronym and not enough time smoking mouth-watering meats and veggies.
After trying the ribs, they suggested we call it āThe Greatest DIY Smoker of All Time.ā
Boasting a 16 gallon, double open-ended barrel, this kit comes complete with all the hardware and accessories heāll need to not only construct a quality smoker by hand, right in his backyard, but host the ultimate barbecue too. The only thing we didnāt throw in is the elbow grease.
Get your guy the ultimate D.I.Y., and upgrade his backyard barbecue with the Build Your Own Barrel Smoker Kit.
Barrel-Smoked Bullet Points:
- This high-quality, 16 gallon barrel is large enough to smoke 4 racks of ribs, or one complete brisket. But why not just make both?
- With air vents located on both the sides and the top of the barrel, controlling the smokerās temperature is a breeze. Even in a breeze.
- Weāve coated the barrel with durable, high-temperature powder coat rated up to 900 degrees, to make sure the smoker lasts for a lifetime of fall-off-the-bone barbecue.

Bummed out in Cincy
Would not heat up past 150 Fahrenheit and we used two rounds of the standard charcoal briquettes. In addition, we purchased a chimney starter for $27.00, that was highly recommended by a professional local smoker. I felt lame that my spouse purchased an additional item, since I assumed this would be a complete rocking smoker. He is already looking into another smoker that is not too much more than yours. š³ Oh well, I failed in the smoker gift category.

My husband loved it
It was relatively easy to put together and even easier to use. I'm really glad I went with this choice
